Manchester Airport Terminal 1

In this page you’ll find information about Manchester International Airport’s Terminal 1.

Manchester Airport (IATA: MAN; ICAO: EGCC), is an international airport serving the Greater Manchester and North West England. Concretely, it is located in Ringway, about 15 km away from Manchester city centre. MAN Airport has three passenger Terminals:

- Terminal 1
- Terminal 2
- Terminal 3

Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport features modern facilities, including extensive food and drink services, available throughout both the arrivals and departures areas. Terminal 1 has a private breastfeeding facility for nursing mothers. Before you arrive to Manchester Airport you can download My Airport free travel guide with the following information:

- Driving directions to and from the airport.
- Information regarding check-in procedures.
- Terminal facilities, including, restaurants, shops and services.
- Insightful destination guides on when you are going.
- Information regarding the arrivals procedure.

If you are travelling with your children you can contact your airline in advance to see what they offer onboard for children, such as sky cots, baby food, toddler meals, and any children's entertainment. Ask whether you can reserve seats in advance, so that you can guarantee that you are all flying together as a family. Also, if you are pregnant, contact your airline if you would need special needs or just to inform about it.

Places that are popular with families at the airport are:

- Terminal 1 – Giraffe
- Terminal 1 - Joes Kitchen
- Terminal 2 - Frankie & Benny's
- Terminal 3 - Trattoria Milano

Many of the restaurants and cafes will warm up your baby milk free of charge - they will do this in hot water rather than in the microwave as commercial microwaves are too powerful for baby milk. Starbucks in Terminal 1 will heat baby milk behind the counter, as will Brodericks and Caffe Nero in Terminal 2 and Costa and Caffe Nero in Terminal 3.

There is a soft play area for children located in Terminal 2. The Terminal 2 play area has a dedicated toddler section suitable for under 3's, plus a zone for slightly older children. Located in the Departures Lounge next to Gate 213.
Other child-friendly services that the airport offers include free fast lane through security if you have a child in a pushchair, a wide range of restaurants and cafes offering kids meals and kids packs.
